Often as small business owners, we have so much happening in our business and our life that we almost forget to breathe! As a small business coach, I recommend to my clients that they revitalize their energy by simply becoming conscious and present in the moment.

Being conscious indicates you are acting with awareness of your environment, you are awake, you are acting with intention, you are mindful. In other words, you are present in the here and now.

Being present has three major advantages: firstly, you'll hear your intuition more clearly. Secondly, what you desire will come to you because you're actually here to receive it. Lastly, you'll escape from the pressures of overwhelm and overdrive as you will be living only in this moment - not in the hours, days, weeks or months ahead! Remember, your life happens in each moment - make the most of it. At the risk of being morbid, you don't know if it will be your last!

Therefore, in the moments when overwhelm threatens to send you over the edge, it can be very helpful to take just a few minutes to do something which will bring you back to awareness of the present moment... Here are my top seven tools for becoming present right now.

• Breathe deeply for 10 - 15 breaths, do nothing except notice what is happening in your body - if it hurts anywhere, breathe into those spots to release the tension.
• Concentrate on some slow, meditative music to enjoy a rest from thinking. Music can make you happy!
• If your 'small business owner' mindchatter will not leave you alone, carry a notebook and just keep writing everything into it. The more you put on paper, the less your mind will need to keep thinking about it. You can summarise the good ideas at the end of each week and schedule them for action.
• To feel a sense of achievement, focus on just one idea, one email, one person, one meeting, one project at a time, and give it quality time. Multi-tasking is a productivity myth which only keeps you away from being in the moment!
• Take a meandering walk around the block. Look out for butterflies, beautiful flowers and carefree smiles from small children.
• Clear clutter. All that 'stuff' might still be there, but if it is not right in front of you it is much easier to focus on what's important...
• Immerse yourself in a relaxing warm bath using 100% pure essential oils. Add a calming blend: 4 drops each of chamomile and rose, lie back and relax!

Siren Song: Red Lipstick Then and Now

Red. It's the colour of power, the colour of confidence, and, in the case of red lipstick, the colour of seduction. From the earliest days of history, women have been compelled to enhance what nature has given them. Vanity, it has been said, is as old as humanity.

While it isn't possible to pinpoint the very first time someone added lip colour, we do know that the women of Mesopotamia crushed precious stones and used the dust to colour their lips. Early Egyptian women used a concoction of seaweed, iodine, and bromine mannite. This was a rather poisonous price to pay for beauty and many women became very ill or even died as a result.

Cleopatra, temptress extraordinaire, preferred a safer blend of crushed carmine beetles and ants for her signature red lips. She probably added a pinch of fish scales now and then for that shimmery opalescent effect. Everybody was doing it. Well, not everybody. Makeup was for royalty and the well to do. The commoners had to make do without.

Fast-forward a few centuries to the days of Queen Elizabeth I. Here we find a more palatable shade of red adorning Elizabethan lips. Most lipstick in Europe was made from beeswax and used plant-based dyes for colour. Portraits of the Virgin Queen are plentiful and many feature her vibrant red lips.

Lip colour continued its rise in popularity until darker days banished its use in polite society. It's difficult to imagine lipstick being not only illegal, but also grounds for being tried as witch. Woe to she who seduced a man into marriage with the trickery of makeup, for it surely must be the devil's work!

Even so, lipstick was still used in the theatre, where performers were considered by the establishment to be the lowest of the low anyway. That meant it was still out there, still visible, still tempting to the common (wo)man. It was inevitable that the compulsion to enhance and adorn would rise again.

Enter the twentieth century.

With the men off at war, women had little choice but to move into the workforce. Once tasted, the feeling of independence that earning money inspired caused a cultural shift that could not be undone. The men returned, not to the demur and modest women-folk they'd left behind but to a new breed.

These women showed their legs and drank whiskey and smoked cigarettes. They painted their lips into little red cupid bows and danced the night away. It was a boom time for manufacturers of beautiful lipsticks and many of the lipstick cases of the time are artworks in their own right. It was a simple, portable luxury item that these "new women" felt they had earned. The influence of film and a general sense of worldliness combined to make fashion and makeup hugely popular and the trend continues today.

Today's red lipstick has come a long way from the poisonous pout of long ago. Modern lipstick may be made of lanolin, cocoa butter, olive oil or other emollients. The red colour may come from chemical dyes or more natural ingredients. Many lipsticks contain sunscreen and vitamins to help keep lips healthy as well as beautiful.

Red is the colour of confidence, as one glance at women who prefer red lips demonstrates:  Madonna, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman; nothing mousy there. Red – it's the colour of arousal, sensuality, and has been creating a bloom on the lips of the bold and the beautiful since practically the beginning of time. Almost every woman owns one... or should.

Should I have kept my mouth shut? What would you have done differently?

My friend has a daughter ("Jane") that is the same age as my daughter. Over the last few months, Jane has been increasingly ugly to my daughter. She has said some horrible things that I have had to coach my daughter about after Jane left. I tried sitting the two of them down and also gently mentioning some things to my friend that had happened. My friend has been having a lot of trouble with Jane lately and would just roll her eyes when I would mention things to her. A couple of weeks ago was the last straw and I told my friend everything that has been going on. I told her how I was worried about the impact Jane's comments were having on my daughters self-esteem. There is only so much coaching and listening on my end I can do, the words still hurt and the damage is done but the time I talk to my daughter.

Now my friendship is blown with my friend because Jane conveniently forgot she said most of this stuff. Should I have kept my mouth shut? What would you have done?

You sould not have kept your mouth shut and you did the right thing. so what if your friendship is blown w/Janes mom? You have to look out for your daughter.

In 2 Samuel 11:2-5, the Biblical writers say that King David committed adultery with the wife of Urijah the Hittite who was one of King David's soldiers.

In the Noble Quran, King David had never ever committed adultery; anyone says or believe in such a story will go to Eternal Hell!

No! Never ever

There is no such story in the Noble Quran.

This malicious story is not present in the Noble Quran, the book which forbids saying anything that could dishonor any prophet including King David.

This nasty and wicked story could be applicable for a lewd shamelessly vulgar burlesque street man not for a great prophet like King David.

King David is mentioned many times in the Noble Quran as for example:

In the verse 38:17, Allah, exalted is He says:

Bear O Muhammad with what they say in your rejection, and remember Our bondman David; He says: mention to them the event of Our slave David, the one of fortitude, the lord of might who had strength for our worship.

He was obedient, always engaged in the worship of Allah.

Lo! He was ever turning in repentance towards Allah,

Indeed he was a penitent [soul]; always returning to what pleases Allah.

The one which Allah blessed him like that would never ever have done anything malicious like that.

According to the Noble Quran, it is a very big unforgiving sin to say or to believe that King David or any other prophet had committed adultery.

Anyone does say or believe that King David or any other prophet had committed adultery or did one of the above seven mentioned David' sins will dwell in the Eternal fire.

Fashion History of Bbw and Plus Size Women

BBW is an acronym for “Big Beautiful Women.” In the past, a big beautiful body was associated with health and wealth. As a matter of fact, up until the 1960’s, BBW and plus size women were lauded for their beautiful physiques. The plus size woman appeared in almost all of the fashion photographs, films, and paintings of the 1920’s-1950’s. When did all of this change?

In the 1960’s, plus size fashion rapidly disappeared from the covers of magazines and on the silver screen. Many people attribute this changing trend to the first teenage supermodel --Twiggy. Ironically, Twiggy’s name suited her slender frame quite well. Instead of plus size blouses, plus size dresses, and skirts, Twiggy wore slinky dresses which hugged her small frame. In 1967, Marshall McLuhan boldly said: “Twiggy is an Xray, not a picture.”

Unlike plus size BBW, who portray a picture of health and happiness, Twiggy looked ill at a mere 95 pounds. Unfortunately, women all over the world quickly became unhappy with their bodies and fashion choices. Clothes that were made for small-framed girls were bright, fashionable, and affordable. The options for plus size BBW? Well, let’s just say they weren’t so glamorous in the 1960’s.

BBW and plus size women were largely ignored in the 1970’s and 1980’s as well. It wasn’t until the 1990’s that BBW and plus size women had enough. Curvy women and full-figured women were tired of trying to obtain an idea of perfection that was sold to them through every media median. Billboards, magazines, television shows, radio commercials and films portrayed Anna Nicole Smith, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, and Kate Moss with their “perfect” bodies in the hottest designer fashions.

Then, as the millennium approached, the world watched in shock as something happened: tabloids and reality television began sharing the private lives of these models. Being thin wasn’t as glitzy, glamorous, and easy as it seemed. When the cameras weren’t rolling and the photographers weren’t around, many of these models struggled to stay thin. BBW and plus size women were finally able to let out a sign of relief. In a fashion-conscious world that oppressed plus size women and BBW for so long, BBW were finally recognized as being healthier than the small-framed models. But, at what cost? How many BBW and plus size women developed eating disorders in their pursuits of thinner bodies? We may never know.

In 2002, the world tuned in to watch the shocking reality sitcom the “Anna Nicole Show.” Although Anna Nicole’s life inarguably looked disastrous, no one could deny that she had gone from a slim Guess model in the 90’s to a plus size BBW over the course of a decade. She eventually experienced success, not only from her reality sitcom, but as a plus size clothing designer. Unfortunately, Anna Nicole Smith died as a result of an overdose. Her untimely death, as well as her son’s, is still shrouded by mystery.

Question 1: What is Patent?

3. The validity of the patent has been successfully challenged by an opponent by filing an opposition either in the patent office or in the courts.

The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is an international patent law treaty, concluded in 1970. The Patent Law Treaty (PLT) is a patent law multilateral treaty concluded on June 1, 2000 in Geneva, Switzerland, by 53 States and one intergovernmental organization, the European Patent Organization. Its aim is to harmonize formal procedures such as the requirements to obtain a filing date for a patent application, the form and content of a patent application, and representation.

The Substantive Patent Law Treaty (SPLT) is a proposed international patent law treaty aimed at harmonizing substantive points of patent law. In contrast with the Patent Law Treaty (PLT), signed in 2000 and now in force, which only relates to formalities, the SPLT aims at going far beyond formalities to harmonize substantive requirements such as novelty, innovation and non-obviousness, industrial applicability and utility, as well as sufficient disclosure, unity of invention, or claim drafting and interpretation.
